Ferry Boatright Obituary
A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mable Pryor Mull.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Gastonia.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Frank Boatright; son, Robert Smith; grandson, Rocky Todd Smith; great-grandchildren, Robert Todd Smith and Megan Gracie Smith; and sister, Betty Hasz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Dwayne Smith; brothers, Clarence Mull and Ray Mull.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Ballard officiating. Entombment will be at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum of Peace. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the church, prior to the service.

I'm writing for my Mother Blondell Rollins and myself,,Creed E Rollins Sr,,Ethel was a great friend to our family for many years,Mom thought the world of her,,I went to school with Dwayne and Robert,no better person ever walked this world than Dwayne,,he surely took after his Mom as I hope I do after my Mother,,Mom wanted to attend the funeral but at her age she too isn't getting around so well unless its a have to,,God Bless Ethel and Dwayne,,good people are hard to find at times in ones life but our family was soi blessed to of know these two fine folks,,my prayers to the family and Ethels husband,,I too wanted to attend the funeral but I live in Toledo Ohio area and by the time I found out of her passing it was not possible,,Mom and Ethel were friends in the Cotton Mills and at Homelite also,,they both enjoyed many days together as life long friends,,Bless all the children and Grandkids and Robert who most likely may not remember me,,but our Mothers were very close in their long lives,,RIP

I worked with Ethel for many years at Homelite. She was a wonderful person and a delight to work with. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. May God bless her family and keep them close.

Uncle Joe,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I always enjoyed talking with Aunt Ethel, and I have many fond Holiday memories of the two of you throughout my life. I loved and respected her tremendously. I'm thankful God placed her into my life. May God bless and comfort you in the days ahead!
