Not sure what to say?

To all who know Dr. Contino, she will be missed. She left me something that I will always remember. She taught me even more love and joy in expression of music through her conducting. The time she spent with us at the 2nd Presbyterian Choir was a wonderful experience. Having Shelle to follow her in her place was a true joy too. I have read Fiora's background since she was very young during the time I came back to the choir. I want her family to know it has been a true privilege to...

We were saddened to hear of Dr. Contino's death. We learned of it from a dear friend and student of Dr. Contino's from our Indiana University days. We saw her conduct many times, over 40 years ago and never forgot her. She was dynamic and exciting but precise. Everything she directed was perfect but also "fun" as her devoted student said. She launched many singers on their careers and introduced IU and also Peabody Conservatory to interesting and unusual repertoire. She will be missed...

What a joy it was to connect with my dearest teacher on her 89th birthday. We spent a lovely afternoon, and she autographed my copy of her recent biography.
Thank you, grandson Eric, for joining us at this time. Rest in peace, my musical mother.

I will always remember Fiora's talent and especially her warm smile!! It was a privilege to know her! My deep condolences to her family!!

I had the good fortune to study conducting and sing with Ms. Contino at the 1976 Aspen Chamber Choir. She inspired us all and shared her inner thoughts on music and making a career.
