Born Rodolfo Olivares, musician Fito Olivares began playing the saxophone at 12 and by 16 was performing professionally. He soon began writing his own compositions, establishing himself as an artist who embraced new directions in Mexican cumbia music as adeptly as he adhered to the traditional.

Where do I begin? I never really knew Fito personally only Jaime and of course I got to know Javier a little. I started following them when they were playing at Conquistador and then Matamoros (the small one not the renovated one) . At this time they had just a small van and this is where they carried all their merchandise. They were good to me and my family and I shall never tire of listening to the music.
