Flaco Jiménez

Jimenez Family, I wanted to share a personal story with you all. A few years ago, my family and I drove a few hundred miles to ensure that my children´s first concert was Flaco. Growing up a Tejano, Flaco was a staple of our family´s music. This picture is posted next to a signed Texas Tornado cover. Our hearts are with you during this difficult time.

He deeply influenced Tejano music and helped popularize it. His contribution is immeasurable. Thank you Flaco for sharing your music with us. You will never be forgotten.

My family shares the sorrow of the Jimenez family and are praying for the peace, healing and comfort of knowing Flaco is with our Lord. Dancing and singing with my granddaughter to 'He is a Tejano' and telling her how the sounds of Flaco's accordion playing make the story come alive! We'll continue celebrate his life by singing & dancing to the music he created and played. Love & Respect from our family.

Flaco rejuvenated the reputation and pizzazz of the piano accordion and made it groove again, as it should. Jimenez was a brother in the code of multicultural TexMex luminaries with style, sincerity, intellect and the universal vibe. The merry dance you all have led us on! Vale Flaco! Ole!

My condolences to the Jimenez family Ur father was grand musician I do hope that his family continues his legacy to able do to contribute scholarships, and his name and may want his family members to continue playing his accordion I thank you so very much for allowing us to share your father husband with us
