Dear Barbara, we are so saddened to hear about the loss of your Mom. Our childhood would have been missing a special piece if she had not been in our lives. Flavia had such love for her family, for you, and then as she shared with me just a few years ago, for her grandchildren. You were truly blessed to have her and I hope her memories lift you up during this time. She was loved by all who knew her. Her wine biscuit recipe lives on in my family's homes to this day. She will not be forgotten....

Just read Tuesday's Beacon. I can't express how sorry I feel about the passing of your mom/grandma. I always enjoyed speaking with her whenever I had the opportunity. Our conversations always brought me a beautiful memory of my own grandmother. She was so proud of her grandchildren. Wishing you peace at this sad time. You are all in my prayers.
