Not sure what to say?

May his memory be forever!

I think of Reed often. A friend from the first day we met. The friendship just grew from that day. I believe he lives in a little corner of every heart who knew him.

I'm thinking of you Andy 3rd! Best friends growing up!
If you see this, let me know!

He was truly an Eagle among we fledglings.

My memories go back to the late 60's and early 70's.
Andy (son) was my next door neighbor and best friend. Many, many sleep overs CH and MH.
When my Dad had a heart attack while we were at the Y with Mom swimming, my Dad called Mr. Andrews first. He came over and called police fire rescue. Unfortunately, my Dad did pass away that night.
A very good memory was Mr. Andrews taking Andy, myself and our girlfriends on our first date! (we were 12 or 13) we went to see the movie PATTON, of...

I just discovered this announcement (1/30/16) and it is a sad day indeed. Reed's passing will leave a great void in the racing world. I was always surprised to discover that persons in the international racing community would often ask if I knew Reed once they discovered that I lived near Nelson Ledges.
As well Reed was a legend in Chagrin Falls for driving his Showroom Stock racer through town to pick up milk, complete with rollbar, number and sponsor decor. It goes without saying that...

THE MAN has passed, into our hearts forever. I can say a hearty A-Men to the thoughts that proceeded mine. I was a fledging race car driver in the early 1960s. I believe it was the first event I ever ran in. By myself and a little scared I rolled into the paddock. Shortly after getting settled this gentleman approached me and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Reed Andrews, are you by yourself?" Sheepishly, I replied,"Yes, just my first race." "No pit crew?" he asked. "No, by myself" "Well I have...

I have wonderful memories of Reed Andrews. I knew him from his racing at Nelson Ledges through the years, he as a racer and me as an LEC track worker. He was always smiling, ever encouraging and a genuine gentleman. While I was working as a nurse at University Hospitals I also had the distinct and welcome pleasure to care for his father, F. Reed Andrews Sr. They were both remarkable and wonderful human beings and gave the word "Gentleman" true meaning! .

I am so sad to hear that Uncle Reed has passed away. I still tell many wonderful, colorful stories of Reed. He was a man who exemplified what it means to truly live. I will hold Reed and all of you in my prayers tonight.

Godspeed, "Speedie Reedie".

Love to you all-

Reed McLellan
