Fleur Byers

She was a great soul. She always had just the right words to buoy a fellow artist's spirit. Her commitment to peace and justice and her creation of an annual show and ceremony ("Candles on the Water") to reverence these will not be forgotten. She was a lovely, cheering presence anywhere, and I have such fond memories of her involvement in the Paper Sword poetry group at the Art Association. My condolences to her loved ones.

Gentle Fleur's gracious Kindness was balanced, complemented by an incredible strength & drive ~ Actions for Peace & Justice. I'm thankful to have know her. Fleur's Light will continue to Inspire.

Fleur's deep commitment to human rights made a difference.

I remember Fleur. She was a customer of ours at Walker's Art & Framing Inc. in Harrisburg, PA. I always enjoyed talking to her about the art we framed for her. We would talk about her driving into New York City with her art work.She was a very talented artist. I remember some of her pieces. She painted a picture of work boots that she was giving to someone in her family. Another one was a street still wet from rain and the street lights in the distances.
