Flora Mae “Sally Jane” Clark was born July 1, 1947 in Robeson County, NC and passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Dillon, SC, completing her journey of 74 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Pearlie Hunt; her husband, Howard Clark; a son, Jimmy Ray Hunt; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Oxendine and Martha Ann Hunt; and one brother, Cornelius “Junior” Hunt.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Shirley Hunt of Fairmont, NC; two sons, James Howard “Jug” Clark of Fairmont, NC and Michael “Funky” Clark (Debra) of Pembroke, NC; four brothers: James “Buddy” Hunt and Johnny Hunt (Peggy), both of Rowland, NC, Craven Hunt of Fairmont, NC and Dennis “Shorty” Hunt (Brenda) of High Point, NC; four sisters: Verta “Ree” Hunt of Rowland, NC, Annie Dale “Diane” Oxendine of Lumberton, NC, Ethel Mae Locklear (Daniel) of Maxton, NC, and Diane “Scurbby” Hunt of Pembroke, NC; 13 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Carol Jones; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Harvest Church of the Assemblies of God, 986 Raynham Farms Road in Rowland, NC and other times at the home of Martha Hunt, 294 Purvis Road in Rowland, NC.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Harvest Church of the Assemblies of God with Rev. Johnny Hunt, Rev. Charles Cummings, and Rev. Terry Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rowland, NC.
