Florence Phyfer Cannon

Florence Phyfer Cannon (affectionately known to her family and friends as "Peaches") passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Mandeville, Louisiana at the age of 74. Born in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She was raised in Harahan, Louisiana and resided in Mandeville, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her daughter Dori Fontaine Foye, her parents Hal Philip Phyfer and Loraine Deweese Phyfer, and her sister Cora Phyfer Coleman. She is survived by her husband Joe Cannon, her daughter Lisa Foret (Marty), her grandchildren Megan Reaux(Jonathan), Justin Dalferes(Ashlyn) and Jonathan Dalferes, her great grandchildren Lyla Reaux, Jed Reaux, Kohen Dalferes and Gabe Reaux, her niece Kelli Coleman, and her nephew William C. Coleman. She is also survived by many other family members and friends. Florence was also a member of First Baptist of New Orleans since 2007. Florence lived a life of sacrificial love and her legacy of that love will continue on with those left behind. A celebration of her life with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, visitation starting at 11:30 am and services at 1 pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La 70124. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
