Florence M. Haggerty NJ Bell employee for 43 years, Eucharistic minister Florence M. (nee Sinnott) Haggerty, 93, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at St. Joseph's Senior Home in Woodbridge, N.J. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Growney Funeral Home (www.growneyfuneral.com), 1070 North Broad St., Hillside, N.J. The Funeral Mass will be offered at Immaculate Conception Church in Elizabeth, on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at 10 a.m. Interment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J. Florence was the beloved wife of the late George F. Haggerty; dear sister of Patricia R. Sinnott, Joan Ann Keane and the late Thomas and John Sinnott, and sister-in-law of Susan and Florence Sinnott. Florence was born and lived most of her life in Elizabeth, N.J., before moving to Union, N.J. She was a supervisor for the NJ Bell Telephone Company, in Elizabeth, Roselle, N.J., New Brunswick, N.J., and Newark, N.J., for 43 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of AARP in Union, Eucharistic minister at Trinitas Hospital Auxiliary, St. Bonaventure and Plaza Nursing Home, and a communicant, Eucharistic minister, lector, and a member of the Rosary Society of Immaculate Conception Church in Elizabeth.
