Florence Jenkins

I have known the Jenkins boy's for about ten years and in that time I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Mrs. Jenkins. I was never given the honor to know this great women but I have heard so much about her and in knowing her son's I can tell the stories I have heard are true. She did a wonderful job at raising great son's. My heart is with you all in this time of sorrow and loss. May god give you the strength and the love you need to make it through.

I grew up with the Jenkins children. As a young girl I often played at their farm. I remember Mrs. Jenkins as a strong, powerful figure of that family. She was an icon of tough love. I remember her in the kitchen, in the barn, out working the fields, in the bleachers and stands for concerts and graduations and in the yard with a crowd of kids at the picnic table (and a very big picnic table it was). I am Debbie G's friend from Indiana. Though I had not met Mrs. Jenkins, as Debbie called her to me, she spoke so kindly of her. She shared with me her rememberance of the Jenkins house being the first place she could ride her bike to on Duffield Rd. and the fond memories of the fine chicken and noodles that Mrs. Jenkins would make regularly. I give the family my deepest sympathy in the loss their wife and mother.
