Florence Johnson

Florence and Cedric were our parents´ (Doris and Crawford Brooks) very good friends. With their passing years ago, Florence became my friend. Living away from Santa Rosa for years in New York City, seeing and visiting with Florence almost every year was like coming home for me. I've known Florence since 1974 when I was an AFS student. (summer program to Ghana). Over the years I saw her around town and we would always talk about AFS. Several times I "house sat" for her and Cedric. Very sorry to the family.

Our father and mother´s oldest and best friends were Florence and Cedric Johnson! We especially remember Florence´s kind heartedness and sensitivity, her fine sense of humour, and many wonderful, intelligent conversations. She (and Ced) were there for our family when our mother passed many years ago, and Florence was a great encouragement later on, when our father passed. Our recently-departed oldest sibling (Tom) and we, the remaining four, have often spoken with fondness of "the Johnsons."...
