Florence A. Keene

It is with sadness that I learned today of Flo's passing. She and I were Meals on Wheels buddies preparing food for delivery in our community. Flo was always unflabbable and calm and quietly took care of what needed to be done. She is to be admired for her modest demeanour, her intelligence and her understated wit. She enjoyed her bridge friends seeking out special treats when it was her turn to host the group. She also delighted in trips to Massachussetts to visit family and last summer...

Condolences to the family of Florence Keene. I would love to know if she was the Miss E.F. Keene who was our Gym teacher at Baron Byng High School from 1950 - 1954. Many of us remember her fondly and it's so gratifying to find out that she had quite a life until the end.
