Obituary
LOWRY, Florence C., 84, widow of Henry C. Lowry Sr., departed this life September 27, 2008. She was formerly a resident of Glen Allen and Lakeside, a dedicated member of Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church, Areme Chapter #17 O.E.S., and currently resided in Ashland, Va. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Hank (Cindy), and Carlton (Sandra) Lowry; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Tabatha, Rena, A.J., Carter, Sonya, Tonya, Tre and Chad; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Alma Mae Dunkum. Visitation will be held Monday evening, September 29, at Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, Va. from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Reid Chapel on Tuesday, September 30, at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Voice, P.O. Box 15546, Richmond, Va. 23227.
