Read MoreI met Florence when she was serving as Parliamentarian of the Pompano Beach Woman's Club and later when I became a member of AAUW. I was always in awe of her intelligence, graciousness, independence, and tenacity for life. She has packed a lot of living in her 97 years. She is a wonderful role model for all women and I will always remember her as an unforgettable personality.

I only knew Florence for a few short years through my association with the Pompano Beach AAUW. She was a strong supporter of our Branch and in addition to working on our annual installation luncheon (where she graciously hosted us at her country club) she served as our parliamentarian for a number of years. She was a lovely lady and will be missed.
