Florence Rodgers Moore

Mrs. Florence Winifred Rodgers Moore was born on August 21, 1928 to Joseph and Frances Rodgers. She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated from Vashon High School and attended St. Paul AME Church. She retired after a very successful career with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri, and as a licensed Realtor. Her post-retirement career included positions with St. Jane Church, Cathedral Tower and Peace Villa. She was preceded in death by her late husband's Homer Locke and Marshall Moore, her mother, father, three sisters and five brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter Tracy & son-in-law Pernell Hudspeth, son Stanford Locke & daughter-in-law, Marian and son Adrian Moore in addition to her sisters, Iola Lomax, Josephine Mosely and Bernell Madison as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Florence was a proud and extremely generous person who loved to laugh, cherished her family and friends and could always be relied upon to provide help and support.
