Florence Petty

Florence C. Petty, 61, of Ft. Madison, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at her home. She was born on November 8, 1950 in Ft. Madison to George W. and Mary Ann Lawlor Genck, Sr. Florence was a homemaker and had previously worked as a realtor for Century 21 and also at Faeth's Orchard. She was of the catholic faith and enjoyed horseback riding, reading books, playing pool, spending time with her family and friends. Florence especially loved her dogs Tucker and Daisy and her gold fish. Survivors include two sisters, Tempy Pulis of Oak Grove, KY and Carol Ann Brewer of Keokuk; two brothers, George Genck, Jr. and Doug Green of Ft. Madison; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John and a sister, Francis. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 1 PM at Vinnie's Santa Fe Tap.
