Florence A. Poteau

Florence Anne Poteau, age 91, of Media, PA died January 9, 2014. Mrs. Poteau was born and raised in Upper Darby, PA and lived in Media, PA for forty two years. She was a graduate of Upper Darby High School class of 1939. She was a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper for Auto Electric.

She was a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church where she cooked meals for the priests on Sundays for many years. Mrs. Poteau was proud of her Catholic Faith and religious studies. She was a proponent of Catholic education. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, the late Roger Poteau (1970) and also by her daughter, the late Anne Agatone.

Survivors: Sons, William, Raymond & Mark Poteau. Daughters, Lynne Poteau, Janet Spille, Margaret Sonsini, Susan Poteau, Paulette Kreider, Mary Poteau-Tralie and Patricia Poteau Mellen. Mrs. Poteau had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass: Monday, January 13, 2014. 10:30 Mass at Nativity BVM Catholic Church. 30 E Franklin St, Media, PA 19063

Visitation: Monday, January 13, 2014. 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Nativity BVM Church.

Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery
