ROSA, Florence Mary - Of Flint, age 81, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2010, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Rd., Burton, Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Per Florence's wishes, flower contributions may be directed to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Visitation 12-9 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed 6pm Thursday at the funeral home. Florence will be at the church 12 noon Friday until the time of the Mass. Florence was born in Flint on April 4, 1928. Florence married Jackie H. Rosa on April 21, 1945 in Flint and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1984. Florence was a charter member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was active in the Woman's Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, bingo and going to casinos. Surviving are children, Michael and wife Gwendolyn of Burton, Pat and wife Diana of Grand Blanc, Jacqueline and husband Larry Rogers of Flint, Debbie Rosa of Flint, Thomas of Flint and Robert and wife Kellie of Flint; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ethel Rosa of Flint, Joy and husband Bill Creamer of Clio, Joyce Ptaszenski of Davison; several nieces and nephews.
