Florence Rosenwasser

Florence Rosenwasser, 86, of Hershey, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 at home. She was the wife of the late Morris Rosenwasser. Florence was born in Brooklyn, a daughter to the late Frederick and Frieda (Szidon) Buxbaum. She worked in medical records at Central PA Eye Institute for 13 years. Florence had a generous spirit and was a warm friend to all who knew her. She was a vibrant member of her family and was the glue that kept everyone together. She enjoyed travel, nature, gardening, reading, keeping busy, and baking. Her family always came first and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sons, Dr. George (Miriam) Rosenwasser of Hershey and Robert (Arlene Goldstein) Rosenwasser of Long Island; her grandchildren, Dr. Laura Rosenwasser Newman (Daniel) of Louisville, KY, Eli W. Rosenwasser of Brooklyn, David S. Rosenwasser of Hershey, Dr. Natalie Raines and Dana Rosenwasser of NY, and Daniel Rosenwasser of Seattle; a great- grandchild, Marco Newman; and a large, extended family. In addition to her husband, Morris, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Irving, H. David “Buddy”, and Harold Buxbaum. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Flushing, NY, under the direction of Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home.
