I am proud to be a fellow Hollins College alum with Mrs Strang. She truly embodied Hollins special spirit of service and curiosity. Truly a role model for many young women to come.

Such a gracious and energetic get-things-done lady.. She was the daughter of one of my grandfather's 5 sisters. My brother, Elliott Kirven and I went down to see her in 2006 when she was 98.. vivid, licid and beautiful. With no more than vanity traces of make-up, she appeared no more than 70 years-old.

God finally called her home after making sure she lived to perform all the work he kept giving her to do.

What a life! She was truly blessed.Our younger generation could learn from her life. Prayer for this wonderful family.r

Hers was a wonderful Life well lived and well loved. I extend warm sentiments to her surviving family members, and remember her fondly.

What a legacy and testament to your mother! I enjoyed reading about her life which definitely impacted those around her! It was a blessing to have Logan share her birthdate and celebration when she turned 105 in 2013(Logan turned 14). Wishing you and your family comfort and peace through all the memories!
