Florence Adkins Todd

Florence Adkins Todd, age 98, passed away Thursday, December 20th, surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1914, daughter of the late Dock Meeks and Analiza Day Adkins in Elk Fork, Kentucky. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Todd, Sr. and many beloved relatives and friends. Survivors include her children, Pam (Willard ) Bowling of Canton, Sue Brandt of Canton, Lewis C. (Cathy) Todd, Jr. of Akron, Everett "Doc" (Marge) Todd of Canton and Becky (Doug) Arick of East Canton; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren and extended family, friends and all that knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, "You were a blessing in our lives, a true gift from God". The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Bethany Nursing Home who so lovingly cared for her and us during our Mom's time there. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home, Canton Chapel. Pastor Kirk Walters will officiate the funeral service 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Florence's name to Bethany Nursing Home 626 34th St. NW Canton, OH 44709.
