Not sure what to say?

I will be going away for a vacation very soon and I will be taking one of the little angels Florence gave me. The angel will be in my pocket so I can remember my dear friend as I travel. I miss dear Florence, but she is always near when I say my prayers each night. Nanette.

You are always in my heart dear Florence. I think of you often and of the wonderful friendship we had throughout my life. You were such an inspiration to me I listened and took notice and used your advice throughout my sixty years in America. I can never thank you enough. With love Nanette.

Three years have come and gone and it doesn't seem so long since Florence left. I still think of her soft voice whenever she called me and of Florence being in Boston perhaps standing on her front steps to welcome all who knew her. I am forever blessed to have had such a lovely friend in my life and to have shared so much of it with her. Happy memories can never be erased and ours were always happy. I will ever be in debt to her for taking me in to her home in 1963 when I first came to...

I had the chance to meet Florence in 2013 as we stayed with my parents in Boston, at her guest house. We had a wonderful time, where Florence talked to us about her tremendous and awsome life. She gave me an advice, as she said, for a lady: find a rich husband, my dear. We had a good laugh as she waved us good night and went upstairs in her appartment. I was in a lovely pink room with dolls and porcelains, i felt like a princess! Inwill cherish those memories.

I have a box of cards and letters from Florence going back more than fifty eight years. I must have kept every birthday card, Christmas card as well as a card for special events in my life as the box is full. I miss her voice as she always had the nicest things to say. Florence was a true friend, one who only comes once in a life time. One who was genuine and asked for nothing in return.
I always remember that day in Lowell when my dear friend was laid to rest. ...

It doesn't seem like two years since dear Florence has left us. I think of her so often and of the wonderful times we spent together. In times like these Florence would send a card with encouragement for us to get through the tough times in life. Our friendship went back over fifty years and we never had a disagreement because that is how Florence was, she was generous and kind and loved her friends.
I picture Florence standing on the State House steps in Boston on the day we met with...
