Read MoreMr. Shasky was the librarian at Sequoia High School in Redwood City when I was a student. I was writing a book and he spent a lot of time working with me to improve my writing and tried to help me get published. He was a great mentor and friend!

I have many great memories with Florian. These included family gatherings, Stanford football and making our LSMJB beer. I am sorry we have not been in touch in recent years. Rest in peace my friend.

Florian was a mentor when he and I worked at Stanford. I was on the search committee that recommended Florian. I am saddened at the passing of a true book man.
