Not sure what to say?

I graduated from East High in 1970 and was a student of Mr. Nielson's throughout high school. I remember his infectious laugh and passion for the theatre. I spent more time in his classroom than anywhere else. He was a wonderful mentor and helped me develop poise and confidence. He influenced me more than any other teacher in high school. I have thought about him through the years. He was a great teacher! The photo is of the cast of Merchant of Venice.

He will be missed as will his Christmas Poems most neighbors and friends received from him . He truly gave of himself in so many ways. It amused us to see him walking and reading his book pass our home quite faithfully every day. H

To the family of Florin we send condolences. He was a dear friend, cousin and a great person. We were neighbors in Hyde Park as well of cousins. We will miss his wonderful poems in his Christmas Letter. We send our love and sympathy to you all.

Florin Nielsen was my high school Drama teacher. He was an important mentor and admired teacher and advocate in so many ways. I bless and honor his memory as a nurturer of adolescents, and the foundation he laid for my love of the arts, in general.

What a wonderful teacher he was. He also ended up pursuing further education after I graduated from East High School. We would often run into each other on the BYU campus.

Always such a kind man.

I was just thinking of him, the other day and his performance in our high school production of "The Good Doctor". It was a delightful sketch and good to see my teacher taking a turn on the boards.

We have lost a truly a wonderful and kind and talented man I am glad I new him talented in many things I shared many moments with him .I was blessed to block many knitted projects H was truly a wonderful knitter also a poem writer To know him was to live him was to love him I am a better person because of having known him Good by my friend.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of Florin's passing. He was a colleague of mine. Always made me smile and laugh. A warm person who brought so much joy to everyone he knew. He will be missed.

Florin is one of a kind. Multi talented, interested in everything and everyone, supportive and encouraging. He thinks outside of the box, indeed doesn't recognize a box! He will be missed by multitudes of people.

Florin is one of my favorite cousins! I admired his many talents and his super way of making one feel so important. Loved Florin so much.
