Not sure what to say?

Dear Joyce,
Thinking of you and Floyd today and cherishing the memories always.

Dearest Joyce & Brandy,
Our thoughts, deepest sympathy & prayers are with you and the rest of the family, for the loss of Floyd is a great one. If there is comfort to be found, let it be in the quality of life that he led and the number of young lives that he touched.

To the Atkins Family
It is so good to have those pleasant memories. We all grew up in the Truxton Community of Portsmouth, Virginia. Floyd's family and the Harmon family were the best of neighbors, school mates, band members and friends. May the Lord continue to keep you in His care. We Love you! The Harmon Family

To the Family of Dr. Floyd L. Atkins, Jr.:

I was saddened to hear of Floyd's death. We grew up together in Portsmouth, Virginia. I have very fond memories of our childhood days growing up in church(Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Portsmouth, VA).

Thinking of you with the hope that you will find comfort and strength in your faith and peace in your special memories.

Sincere condolences!

Your husband and father was a wonderful man and my thoughts are with you in these difficult times. I knew Floyd as Dr. Atkins dean at Tufts Medical School. But he was much more. He was an ardent advocate for minority issues in medicine and at the school and was always available for students. He got things done with his aid-back but commanding and effective demeanor, his joyous sense of humor, and his resounding laughter. He will be greatly missed by me and I am sure many at Tufts University...
