As a former Lunenburg student from 1956 to 1964, I had the honor of knowing Mr. Barney both as a teacher and person who touched my life and the lives of so many others with the eloquence of his example. To the Family of Mr. Barney;
I am sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Barney, you have my deepest sympathy. I lived in Lunenburg and graduated in 1964. I remember him very well. My brother Roy and my sister Mary Ellen (Mezzy) also send their condolences. We have lost both our parents and miss them everyday. I believe that he like so many before us is now at perfect peace, like a child he runs among the golden field at peace and free of pain.
