I have been out of town and just found out about Barney. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Cannon family. Whether I was broadcasting for La. Tech or the Captains, Barney was one person I could rely on and his smile and great personality will be missed.

I NEVER MET MR CANNON IN PERSON, BUT I CAL HIM A FREIND HE WAS A VERY KIND MAN, AND JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO HE GAVE MY TOW SONS THE TRIP OF A LIFFETIME WHEN HE UNSELFISHLY GVE MY SON WHO LIVES HER IN OIL CITY TWO SETS OF TICKETS TO A WEEKEND AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY.

I am just sorry that I never got the chance to have met you but all the times that I had the chance to have talked to you on the telephone it was very nice.
