Tarring Cargo Funeral Home Obituary

Floyd Alfred "Bud" Combs passed away April 16, 2017 (Easter Morning) at his home of 60 years. He was 81. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Christene and his devoted and loving son David Dwight Combs and his wife Margaret. Also, he is survived by a brother, Dwight David Combs, four sisters: Helen, Sue, Lois (Kenny) and Nancy. Also, two sisters-in-law: Irene Harrison and Mary Ellen Taylor, two brothers-in-law: John Taylor and Elmer Kelly Taylor, Jr. and wife Rita, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. Floyd loved old cars and country music. He restored a number of street rods over the years. He was a Navy veteran and worked most of his career in maintenance at Jim Huber Corporation in Havre de Grace, retiring in 1998. He had a hard work ethic and a kind way about him, always willing to help others. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20 from 5-8pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 21 at 10:00am. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.

Dave, so sorry for your loss. He was born the same year as Dale and from Chilhowie, VA which is very near Sugar Grove, VA where Dale was from. I wonder if they knew each other or crossed paths. Small world.
