In Loving Memory of Floyd Morgan Davis


Visitation for Floyd Davis, 64, of Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. and the service will begin at 11 a.m. at Jackson's-Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Crawford officiating.


Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Jackson's-Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home.


Floyd passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and best friend on Saturday, July 19, 2025.


Floyd was born on August 17, 1960 in Marshall, Texas, to Arthur Lee Davis and Lois Ophelia Davis.  


Floyd was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors and especially teaching his grandchildren how to hunt and fish. He enjoyed watching Nascar racing and many other sports. He was a successful entrepreneur, who opened Tyler Overhead Door in 1986 and Lake Tyler Storage in 2004. He was always building something new. 


Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lois Davis, his brother, Frank Leeson and his sisters Betty Martin and Rhonda Mathis.  


He is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Davis) Lopez, his two grandchildren, Kaleigh and Hunter Lopez, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother, Johnny Davis, his sister, Francis Adams, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. 


Pallbearers will be Joey Plunkett, Dale Smith, Will Hill, Michael Mathis, Don Lopez, and Hunter Lopez.


Floyd will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege and honor to know him.

Floyd will be missed. He was a good friend and neighbor. We always waved when passing each other on the road. He was always willing to help anyone that needed help. He was a good man. We will miss him.

Uncle Floyd your gona be missed . You taught me so much growing up . Fishing camping even a lil of hanging doors . But on important thing was to always be there for family and to love your your family . Your gona be deeply missed

Floyd may not have been blood but he always said to me that I was family and treated my dad and I like it. He was one of the most caring men I’ve ever met and would help anyone however he could. Thank you for always be supportive of kaleigh and I. I love and miss you so much can’t wait to dance with you in heaven one day!
