Not sure what to say?

Saddened to find out about passing of "Chuck" Givler (also knew him as "Chuch," a misspelling on an award PPG presented him one year at Pocono Raceway as its "Colorful Character). Had many dealings with him on the motorsports writing scene in southeastern Pennsylvania in the 1980s into 2000s. Always friendly, helpful to me and other scribes with the driver quotes he relentlessly pursued at NASCAR and IndyCar events. As a fellow military veteran (Army), I held him in high regard for his...

All of us at Animals In Distress were sorry to hear about Chuck. We know he loved animals and loved our organization. Thank you for thinking of our organization in lieu of flowers. We will let you know of donations that are received in his memory. Rose Yanger

Mr givler was my teacher at Belvidere high school he was a very dedicated teacher and well liked my deepest sympathy to his family

So very sorry about Chuck. He was one of a kind!

Mr. Givler was my social studies teacher back in 1987 or 88. Thanks to him I was given the opportunity to participate in Washington Workshops. During that trip I experienced our government first-hand for the first time. I was also part of a Mock Trial at one point. It's teachers like him that inspired me to become one. I've just hit my 30th year of teaching, thank you Mr. Givler.

Mr. Givler" was my basketball coach and social studies teacher at Belvidere High School. One day in the school library I discovered an auto racing newspaper, I was told that he had placed it there. I looked him up, thanked him, and that auto racing connection between us continued throughout the years. Chuck´s work as motor sports editor at the Easton Express-Times brought both the local and national racing scene alive to his readers. Throughout the years he was always upbeat and ready with a...

Chuck was a mentor to my son when he was first embarking on a career in photojournalism. He taught my son the virtues of dedication and adherence to professional ethics. My son has made professional motorsports photography his career for the last two decades and has succeeded due in large measure to Chuck's guidance.

Chuck was such a nice man to be around and always treated me niceley at Pocono and other tracks. May he rest in peace. Love and prayer to anyone in his family and friends. - Matthew

Chuck was a wonderful guy. He and I shared some discussions, jokes, and general sports conversations. His friendly demeanor is always something I will cherish. May God provide peace and comfort to Chuck´s entire family.
