Floyd Lefler, age 85 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at his home on Monday, November 11, 2013.
Floyd was born in Dawson, Nebraska on December 30, 1927 to Felix and Anna Lefler. He served his country in the US Air Force. Upon returning home, Floyd moved to Mt. Clemens in 1947 where he met and married Lillian on June 4, 1948. He worked for Ford Motor Company Sterling Plant, retiring in 1984. After retirement, the couple settled in Fairview, MI. Floyd had enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 65 years Lillian of Fairview, MI; his children: Floyd Lefler, Jr. of Fairview, MI; Steven (Wendy) Lefler of Mt. Clemens, MI; Robert Lefler of Fairview, MI; Glen (Kathy) Lefler of South Dakota and Ruth (Dale) Boyd of Montrose, MI; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Rose Sullivan; his daughter-in-law Lila Lefler; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 1-4 and from 6-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan; and again on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11AM also at Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Elizabeth Chace of St. Bartholomew Epsicopal Church officiating. Interment to follow the services at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the needs of the family.
