Wife Doris Simpson and I (Waverly '53/'54) met a Dr at an alumni event prior to an Iowa FB game couple yrs ago who was from Ft Dodge. We asked him if he knew Floyd Magnusson and he said he was a best friend. We told him of our connection and asked him to tell "coach" hello. I lusted over his new '49 Ford convertible he bought. God Bless him.

We loved him at Waverly High School! As a teacher, as a coach. He is remembered fondly by the students of that era. Fondly, Jude Gardner, WHS '51. (Now in Omaha) The attached picture is from the 1951 Waverly High School yearbook. I apologize for the quality. jg
