Not sure what to say?

I met Floyd years ago at IU South Bend when he worked for McGraw-Hill. When he retired we continued our friendship through emails. He was such a professional & a wealth of knowledge. He knew how much I enjoyed reading so he would send me books he read & we were always emailing about our lives. I could ask him questions about plumbing, moles, decks, whatever & he always would give suggestions on anything. He will be truly missed.

Floyd often chatted with us as he puttered around in the garden, sharing stories and words of wisdom. Our condolences to you, Betsy, he was a wonderful man. We will miss you, neighbor.

Over the past few years my wife and I traveled to GR to visit family, and that included Betsy and Floyd. Floyd was a quiet and genuinely nice guy, with a sharp wit when he chose to use it. We will miss him dearly.

I enjoy many great memories of the McCoy family at Higgins Lake. Last summer he shared the paper he wrote about his early recollections at the lake - wonderful memories. I will miss him

I spent a day with Floyd several years ago when I was serving as an editorial manager with McGraw-Hill and it was a great pleasure to get to know him. He was always cheerful, a terrific person.

I knew Floyd while we were at McGraw-Hill. He was friendly and very cordial especially to new representatives.

I had the chance to work with Floyd on campus many times and no matter which campus we were on, everybody knew him and loved him, from chairpersons, to professors, to bookstore people, to secretaries. He treated everyone with kindness and respect, and took the time to really listen to them. He knew details about their lives, families, and interests and made friends wherever he went. One time we worked Notre Dame and saw over 30 professors - and all of them were on a first name basis with...

I so enjoyed knowing Floyd! I was a new representative and Floyd was always gratious with his knowledge and humor. He was enthusiastic about his job and gave me inspiration that you could still have the passion for it after many years. He always had a smile- i'm so glad i got to work with him. He made an impact! My deepest sympathies on his passing-

Floyd was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. For many years we shared breakfast at our twice yearly company meetings. Needless to say, most of the world problems were solved during these great chats. My heartfelt thoughts to the family of a wonderful man.
