Texarkana Funeral Home- Arkansas Obituary

Mr. Floyd W. Ply, age 63, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Monday, October 4, 2010, in a local hospital.

Mr. Ply was born June 30, 1947, in Pyatt, Arkansas. He was retired from FCI and was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army from which he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Bronze Star Medal W/V, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Parachute Badge.

Survivors include his wife, Betty M. Ply of Texarkana, Arkansas, two sons, Floyd W. Ply, Jr. of Washington State and Eddie D. Ply of Texarkana, Arkansas, two daughters, Sharon R. Glass of Texarkana, Arkansas and Tammy M. Cannedy of Texarkana, Texas, his mother, Edna Warren Ply of Yellville, Arkansas, five brothers, Edward Ply, Ronald Ply, Larry Ply, Kenny Ply, and Jimmy Dale Ply all of Summit, Arkansas, two sisters, Shirley Madariata of Washington State and Phyllis Rogers of Summit, Arkansas, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Don Brankel officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
