Floyd W. Poole, of Comstock Park, died Saturday of natural causes. He was 90. Mr. Poole was born August 24, 1916, in Grand Rapids to John and Lucinda (Hubbard) Poole. He was married to Jean Poole and, later, Ada Belle (Buckner) Poole. Mr. Poole served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1961....

A special Thank You for a special man. I'm so glad to have known Floyd for the past 10 years or so. His stories and memories will be with me always. I thank him for the jokes and wise cracks that endeared him to me and many others of us that work at meijers. He was an inspiration to us and will be missed a great deal. God bless his family and friends as we deal with his passing.
