Not sure what to say?

To the family of Floyd Pounds,

I became acquainted with Floyd at Wilshire at Lakewood where I taught a Bible Class for 12 years. Floyd wasn't in the class that long, of course, maybe the last three years. Floyd was such a great inspiration to me and always was willing to offer a prayer, Oh what powerful prayers he offered. They simply reflected his relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was out of town on a mission for the church I attend and thus was not able to attend...

Beth,Joel,Jon & Family! How I wish I could be there at the service today! The Pounds were so "Special" to Gene & I & our 3 Sons! They not only were DS & wife, but our Friends! Gene is with them in Heaven! Love,Prayers & Blessings to You All!

I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a great DS for Manville Nazarene Camp. Lots of fond memories of him. He is singing with the heavenly choir.

Floyd and Carol will always hold a special place in my heart. They were the finest of the finest. Carol always helped me whenever I needed something cooked up to feed the working forces remodeling the church for us to move into. Dear Floyd, who I affectionately referred to as "The Donut Man" would always pick up the donuts from Lamars for the workers on Saturday mornings. They would always visit my husband and I in the hospital when my husband was so ill and always brought a welcome...

Rev. and Mrs. Pounds were two of my favorite people on earth. They were always ready with encouraging words, took time to show personal interest in me, a young teenager on the district, and were more influential in my life than they ever realized. I will remember them with fondness. Condolences to the family and prayers for Godly comfort.

Prayers and condolences to Rev. Pounds' family. I pastored my first church at Roseville, IL under his leadership. Lived down the hall from you at Chapman, Jon.

I am so sorry for your loss. Floyd and Carol Pounds were friends to our family. My Mom and Dad are both in heaven today and I am sure your parents are having the time of their lives enjoying being with friends and family that have already arrived in heaven. I will be praying for all of you! Even though we know they are in a better place, we are human and experience hurt and grief from death! Jesus wept! Why would we be any different? God bless all of you!

The Pounds family will always be a part of my fond memories. Serving with "Brother" Pounds as a fellow pastor, and later as my DS, and with Carol on the missions council, we're blessed days. They shaped my life in wonderful ways. May their memories continue to enrich all whose lives they touched. - Bob and June Hale

So sorry for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
