Floyd was a dear friend, colleague, and hunting partner in my 24 years in Alaska and in the years after we both moved to the lower 48. We spent many hours together talking about politics, education, and hunting and enjoying wine and spirits over pleasant conversation. He was a mentor introducing me to hunting, trapping, and cross-country skiing.
