Not sure what to say?

I recently came across this photo from around 1988 or '89 and there was Floyd in the front row! I worked closely with Floyd my first year at Microsoft, starting in late 1986. He was the software engineer for the very first ever Windows Help system, for Excel, and I was the tech writer. Really enjoyed collaborating with Floyd, and miss him. Condolences to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of serving with Floyd on the Conservation Northwest Board of Directors. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He was such a giving and forthright person. He cared so deeply about preserving our natural environment and he was an inspiration to me. I will miss the lilt in his voice, the glimmer in his eyes, and his kindness.

I was childhood friends with Floyd and Judy's son (as was my older brother, with their other son). Floyd coached youth soccer for us, I slept over at their house many times, and every memory I have of him was that he was a kind and friendly man.

I was sad to hear of his passing last year, and I wish the Rogers family (including my old friend) my sincere condolences.

Heartfelt condolences to Floyd's adoring sister Beth and her family. Floyd had a special touch that reached far and wide, even to Beth's "Goddess" friends , who made lasting memories at his amazing Cle Elem vacation home. Thank you, Floyd, for sharing your accomplished skills and success with so many.

It was such a joy to see you and Floyd together, Judy. Your love for each other was so clear. You are in my prayers

Hugs to all the family will miss seeing him at village theater!

We were lucky to have Floyd and Judy as travel buddies in Europe, Russia, Australia and South America. He always added his vast knowledge to any conversation and often had a thoughtful opinion. And he had a wonderful chuckle! He fought his brain cancer with courage and grace and a mighty will to return to the mountains. We will never travel again without remembering and missing Floyd.

Floyd was one of my earliest mentors at Microsoft - an adult in a world of type-a craziness. He taught me to ski, to drive fast on Highway 410 getting there and back, and how to be an adult in the tech world. He had solid values and is a loss to the entire education and conservation community here in Washington, and to a bunch of old-time Microsoftees.

Judy, I'm so sorry to hear about Floyd. I truly enjoyed the time(s) we had in Pullman and my walks from the hotel to campus with him. Weekends there won't be quite the same anymore. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.
