Floyd Franklin Runyan

My deepest sympathies to the entire Runyan family. I have too many found memories to mention all but growing up Ron was my best friend so I was fortunate to be included in a lot of activities and Mr. Runyan was always very kind to me whether it be trips to their beach cabin, taking me up in their plane or teaching me the correct way to play pool. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for your loss. Bless all of you.

What a caring, patient and generous man you were. I am sorry for the loss to all the family and friends, but I am thankful for all the lessons you shared. When 'Clan Runyan,' arrived at 1200 SW Chestnut Drive in 1964 it began a most wonderful series of adventures. Your interests in sailing, diving, (Boy) Scouting and more were well shared. When Mike took out the SeaSnark on the Willamette and we capsized off Ross Island, your lessons on how to right it allowed us to return upright but...

As characters go Floyd was the best. The kind of a guy who makes the world go 'round. So glad we knew him.
