Not sure what to say?

May you rest in peace with our Heavenly Father, Floyd. I remember you from Esmond Elementary school & Morgan Park H.S. You were always such a stand up guy. I haven't seen you in quite a while but I remember your smile!! You was with Thomas Jones all the time. LOL. You will truly be missed. You were loved by many. I will continue to pray for your wife and children during this difficult time. I will cherish our childhood friendship forever. I miss you.

It just broke my heart to hear and see on the news the loss of such a open giving individual. He was always smiling and very welcoming to my daughters, he allowed us to follow his family from texas to Mississippi for their family reunion. He really cared that we did not get lost his concerned was very sincere there was noting fake about him. I fell blessed to have known him. He is God's angel who was put on earth to encourage and show love to others. I pray grace and mercy for the family...

As usual, I was bending his ear

I enjoyed and appreciated Floyd's work on the Major Cities Chiefs Human Resources Committee, but I loved the experience of talking with him about his faith, his family, and his work. I was honored by his seeking my opinion on some of his opportunities. I am proud to call him a friend.

Tanya, I have prayed day and night for you and the family, I can't even look at Flloyds picture, he was so so sweet and such a caring person as all God fearing men are. I will continue to pray productive and fruitful prayers for you and the family. God knows......................I am at a loss for words, I too have a heavy heart for myself and you all. Love You and remember God will sooth your broken hearts. Love Kathy Louis (Ms. Ruby's sister)

My prayers are with your family during this difficult times. Chief Simpson will be missed.

Our deepest condolences to the Simpson family. Our daughter went to elementary school with his daughter at Gentry in Mesquite, prayers to your sweet girl.

Tanya, I was saddened to hear about Floyd's passing. I heard it on the news after his Dallas service. My heart is so heavy for you and your family. Floyd left a legacy from which you can draw strength. I will remain prayerful and will reach out to you in the coming weeks.

Chief Floyd Simpson left a legacy for Corpus Christi, Texas...God brought him to our city but he was on loan...God has called him home...I still cannot believe he is gone...so quick and so sad...thoughts and prayers to CCPD & DALLAS PD and his family, friends and those he touched he never even knew about...such a great man, leader...such a great loss...rest easy Chief...your work on earth is done...Godspeed
I wish somehow we could create an eternal flame to honor the Chief and all...

Tanya,

Even though I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know Floyd personally, but what a wonderful Husband & Father and an amazing Chief of Police I've learned of him to be. My heart is saddened for your loss & I want you to know my thoughts & prayers are with you & the family. Remember the special times & may your memories now become your treasures.
