Not sure what to say?

A year has passed and I think often how this good and kind man touched my heart. Floyd was always very accepting and loving. Something I have not gotten from family we could talk he could be the son, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, neighbor he was my all around friend. The most Christ like man full of compassion and understanding. Devoted to a good cause and a unifier for us all. If the world was full of Brother Yate’s we would feel like we were in heaven. I miss you my good...

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Floyd was a great friend to our family. I haven't seen much of him lately but I know that mom and dad were over quite a bit. My heart goes out to each of you with a prayer that you will find piece in knowing that he and Colleen are together again and have begun their second life together. Sending you my love and payers.

I was so sad to learn of the passing of Uncle Floyd. He was a wonderful kind, funny loving man. We were so grateful to him for the love and kindness he displayed to our Mom his sister Elda in her final years. From bringing her a new recliner to a simple gesture of cans of root beer she loved.
I know he is now reunited with his sweetheart Aunt Colleen and they are together again.
Thinking of you all with love and deepest sympathy

Sterling and I would like to add our condolences to the Yates Family. I had the privilege of attending the 11th ward Relief Society Salad Social in his beautiful garden. He always had a friendly smile and greeting. He will be missed in his ward family. Sincerely, Sterling and Sandra Henson

A very thoughtful, caring and kind friend that has been a part our life for many years. Our hearts are so very sad although it is bittersweet, we rejoice that he is again with his beautiful sweetheart who he has missed so dearly. We loved this Kind man and also his family who will be left with gladness and a Heavy heart! Our love to you!

I was blessed the last couple of years to have been able to work with this fine man in the temple. Their is not a kinder more understanding and loving man. Floyd Yates is the best of the best if all were like him this world would be without all the trauma caused by people. Floyd was a healer both in spirit and mind. I will miss this good man we all looked up to him. His word was his bond. Floyd you have gone on to bigger and better things. We miss you!

Hello, my name is Edward Floyd Smith I am one of three sons from Floyds sister Elda, I have always thought of Floyd throughout my life in a very positive way, as a child he always paid a lot of attention to me, he would take me for rides on his motorcycles, play catch with the football or baseball, he would even try to get us to drink the water when we would make the voyage clear out to his house. He always did things for my mother, and he was the only reason his sister Louises house was on a...

I am very grateful to have had Floyd as my uncle. He was always there with love and a helping hand wherever he was needed. While either officiating at a family wedding or doing handyman chores at his sisters Elda and Louise's home, he didn't hesitate to help. From a modest beginning he forged himself into the type of man anyone would be honored to be. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace, within the love he created...
