Not sure what to say?

I was a K9 handler with Oceanside Police from 1980 to 1983. Fon loved my partner, North, and we were invited to the police K9 demonstration at the Del Mar Fair several times, and as the halftime show for the San Diego Soccers. My partners and I were invited to his home to see the Super 8 films he made in South Africa when he judged the trials. He was a wonderful man. I very much enjoyed his company and our friendship beyond the professional relationship. He was a great trainer. I wish his...

We are very thankful to have known Fon since the 70's. Fon trained us
first in the Explorer Scouts- Canine Careers with german shephards, and dobies and later in the Obedience Club with Bulldogs.
Fon only laughed a few times when the Bulldogs made us look crazy in the Obedience ring as they escaped the long sits and downs to make a trip to the lunch cart or for much needed shade. Boy did we like a challenge! Fon taught by example,
as he was always calm, caring and fun. We will...

Such a great loss to the community. Both Rich and I (Norma) worked at Fon Jon Kennels for about four years during the mid seventies as dog trainer and kennel attendant (respectively). Fon was always a pleasure to work for, always mild mannered; a great boss. There are good memories from those days, it is because of Fon Jon Kennels Rich and I met and got married and are still married 25 years later. Even living in Oregon many years later we still think and talk about our Fon-Jon days. A...

I truly wished I could have been their for everyone. Fon was a great man is now by God's side. He will truly be missed.

My sincere sympathy to Audry,Kevin and Erin. and Fon's extended family. He was a good man, and will be sorely missed.

I met Fon for the first time in 1969 when i joined the Obedience Club of San Diego County. I had a German Shepherd Dog. I was 19 years old then. Fon helped me train my dog for Obedience Trials earning my Obedience Titles. I still show and still a member of the Obedience Club of San Diego County. He was a great man, respected, and I will miss him! Roz

When I think of my first Sheltie (some 40+ years ago) I always think of Fon. He was the first trainer for both of us. It was an honor and a privilege to know him and learn from him. He will be missed by many--both two-legged as well as four-legged friends.

My deepest sympathy to Audrey and the family.

Fon was such an incredible man. We feel so blessed to have known him and Audrie and their family. Fon taught us so much about dogs. His legacy will live on in those he taught, as they teach the new generation. Many dogs will live happier lives because of Fon. We will always treasure the memories of the relay racing fun we had at the fair --- a highlight for all, spectators and exhibitors! Thank you Fon for enriching our lives, you were one in a million!

All of us from the "K-9 Careers" Explorer Post have been thankful that Fon and Audrie chose to sponsor our group. Fon was a wonderful teacher, mentor, friend and--especially--an excellent role model. We are truly grateful he was a part of our lives. Our condolences to everyone in the family. With love, respect and admiration--Patti
