Not sure what to say?

A really great man who had a caring heart for his fellow man. Allan Anderson

Did not know him personally but my dad was a close friend. He will be missed. Thanks, Brett York son of Claude M York, Jr

To Amy and the Odom family-sincerest condolences on the loss of your father. Fountain Odom will be remembered as a man who made this state and world a kinder and better place. May his memory be eternal!

When I first met Fountain and Carmen at Sedgefield Church, I told him how lucky we are to have such a dignitary in our congregation. I just loved seeing his expression! I looked for him and Carmen each Sunday. The Odoms had moved into our Sedgefield neighborhood. I was so saddened when they had to move because of his dementia. I've had some experience with loved ones and dementia and making my contribution today. My heartfelt condolences to Carmen and all the loved ones in his family.

Fountain lived life always in full force. While we will miss his physical energy, his presence and legacy throughout NC and beyond will be felt for years to come. But most importantly, his approach with his grandchildren, family, and close friends left us all feeling inspired and loved. His joy was infectious, and his stories captivating (and hilarious!). The angels will be laughing with him in heaven!

A friend as dear as a brother.

He and Jane had a farm near us in Linville Falls and used to visit us often and patronize our restaurant. They were a great couple. Betty and I worked closely with him at the NC General Assembly. He was a great listener and tried to help people.
