Not sure what to say?

We will miss your visits, calls and letters. You were always there, a true friend. Phoenix will never be the same!

I will miss my Christmas card and hearing about all your great adventures. I met you when I was 15 .I am now 42. You were so kind over the years and never judged , just listened. Thank You ,You will be missed.

Forrest gave us latitude to be who we were and always total acceptance, no matter how goofy we kids were. He thought we were funny and laughed at us and we thought he was so much fun and we laughed with him. That unconditional acceptance to be the people we were was such a gift to each and every person whose life Forrest touched. He was the soul of patience as he taught Sunday School class to loopy junior high kids. And we learned from him through it all.

I remember Forrest's 1956 Ford convertible and when I was 14 years old Forrest had the top down and drove the youth group kids out through Avondale and Goodyear, which was way out west of Phoenix at that time, to a park for an afternoon youth group activity. Riding along with Forrest with the top down was a big deal when I was 14. Forrest was a wonderful man.

Forrest was our youth group leader at First Presbyterian Church when we were in high school and he made everything fun. We couldn't wait to get to church and potluck suppers and swimming parties. Forrest was the best youth group leader, chaperone, teacher and minister to the youth of First Church. We would not have grown up to be the people we are without Forrest's influence. I am sorry we didn't know about all his interests and activities outside of the church because I didn't realize I...

I knew Forrest growing up at First Church. He was a friend to all of us, Martha, Judy, Jill, Jim, Pete, Jim and me, Marilyn. He took us under his wing and guided us on the right path. He did so much good for so many people and he will be missed greatly.

Forrest will be greatly missed by his "retiree" friends from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of AZS. He was instrumental in the lunches that the retiree group had. He was our host/MC for many years and always had interesting information to pass on to us. He had almost perfect attendance for 22 years. It was great knowing him.

Forrest was a thoughtful, kind man. I looked forward to his visits to San Diego and will miss his humor and insightful conversation. May he rest in peace.

My great friend that will never be forgotten.
