Cindy and family, I'm so sorry to hear of Forrest's passing. He was one of the most kind gentlemen I've ever known, and the mark he left on our beloved reporting profession will remain forever. I often tell the story of his philanthrophic contributions to the National Court Reporters Foundation, along with the association, and it's my honor to try to follow in his footsteps. What a giant of a man. May he rest in peace. Take care and know you're in my prayers.

Cindy,
It is with tears in my eyes that I wrote to you to tell you how much I will miss seeing Forrest and his furry friend making their way down our street usually followed by the white cat. It was so comforting to come home and find that smile even on the gloomiest of days. Please let us know what we can do for you and your family. With Love, Deidra Smith

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Forrest’s passing. He was such a great mentor to me when I started in his classroom at Brown College of Court Reporting. There were only four students. We not only learned a lot but we also laughed a lot. Then he was an ever present supporter to me when I worked at Brown and Huseby and also to all reporters. He was a special man and will live on in the hearts of many! I will keep Cindy and all of your family in my prayers.

Fond memories even though we were cousins we were more like brothers or best friends. When we were young we spend a lot of time together playing in the woods. Building swimming pools in the branch. Getting into a little trouble together. As we have aged we still stayed in close touch with each other. Thanks to Cindy who helped us stay in touch. I will miss him everyday. I always looked forward to seeing him and Cindy when we come into town. Words cannot express the grief I feel. I will...

Forrest was a very kind and caring man. I remember when they closed the Augusta office, Forrest came down to have “lunch” with me because he did not want me to be alone when they told me. It meant so much to me. He will forever hold a special place in my heart. RIP Forrest. Condolences to Cindy, Mary Lee and the family. Love, Rhonda Foreman

Forrest was a special mean, as evidenced by all the people that are devastated by his passing. I had the pleasure of going to Brown College of Court Reporting and scoping for Forrest and Cindy while in school. I worked at Brown Reporting for 27 years and would have been there a lot longer if he had not sold the business. He worked hard and we worked hard for him. He was a generous man and always had his reporters interest at heart. The world is just a little less bright without him in it. He...
