FORREST L. LUDWICK, age 89, of Wakarusa, was born November 14, 1930 in Elkhart, Indiana to Jacob and Catherine (Misner) Ludwick.  After a brief hospitalization, Forrest passed November 5, 2020.  He married Mary (Golden) Ludwick on February 24, 1950 who preceded him in death in August 2013.  They had three children, Bradley Ludwick of Agoura Hills, California, Craig Ludwick of San Diego, California, and Tina (Phil) Marsh of Elkhart, Indiana.  Forrest has four grandchildren, David (Lindsey) Ludwick of Golden, Colorado, Jillian Marsh of Woodland Hills, California, Allison Marsh of Elkhart, Indiana, and Stephanie (Avery) Lehman of Churubusco, Indiana (with a great grandchild expected in the spring).  One brother, Gene, is deceased, with two surviving brothers, Robert (Joyce) Ludwick of Elkhart, Indiana, and Wayne (Debra) Herrli of Colorado.  He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Rev. Floran (Naomi) Mast, and a sister-in-law, Elsie (Eldon) Mast, both of Elkhart, Indiana.

Forrest was a tool and die maker beginning his career at NIBCO in Elkhart, Indiana.  He retired from the industry in 1995.  He always enjoyed keeping his yard and house in good order and enjoyed to golf with friends.  He loved family get-togethers, wonderful meals, and many hours spent swimming with family and friends.  He was a member of the Wakarusa Missionary Church for over sixty years and played his xylophone on many occasions at church, sang in the choir, and served on the church board and as Sunday School superintendent over the years.

Forrest married Marjorie (Weiss) Ludwick on July 28, 2018.  He loved getting to know her family with both of them enjoying time with friends, playing cards, and wintering in Florida.  During the past several years, he worshipped at Nappanee Missionary Church with Marjorie where he enjoyed making many new friends and acquaintances.  Marjorie survives and resides in Wakarusa, Indiana.

Family and friends may call from 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2020 followed by a 11 a.m. funeral service all at Nappanee Missionary Church.  Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery.    Please follow the COVID-19 guidelines, must wear a mask at all times, and please practice 6 ft. social distancing.

Not sure what to say?

Uncle Forry was such a kind man. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers go out to his beloved family and friends.
Sincerely, The Myers family

Gods Grace and Peace be with the Ludwig family. May your sorrows be short, and your memories forever. Praying for you all.

I always liked your parents and all you kids very much. I remember all the church youth get-to-gathers at your house. Your parents were always so open and gracious. Your dad & mom would try to see our family any time we gathered back up in Indiana over the years. We always appreciated them. I hope all of you are well. Bonnie (Secor) & Tom Kapla, Ft. Myers, FL.

Brad, Craig and Tina.....Your Dad will be truly missed as a long-time friend of the Secor family!! I remember with fondness "babysitting" you kids and also having Tina in Sunday School class in 5th-6th grade!! We would see your folks in Florida and Wakarusa these last number of years and your Dad would always show us photos of his kids and grandkids.....he was so proud of all of you!!! Always had a friendly smile!!!! Luv, Sherry (Secor) & Dave Chapman

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow....
We sure enjoyed his time with us in Florida...Rev Dean and Marlene[Secor] Gilkerson
