Not sure what to say?

Forrest took a chance on me with no degree and no experience and gave me my first newspaper job. We worked together from 1970-1972 when I left to travel the world and send columns back to The News-Times from South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Then, years later, unsolicited, he wrote another editor to recommend that he look me up for a vacancy he had. Forrest Palmer was a classy man in my book. I will never forget him.

My most sincere condolences to the Palmer family. I remember him well as a true gentleman in every sense of the word. May he rest in eternal peace.

My condolences to the family. He was editor and publisher during my time at the News-Time s where I started my journalism career. He oversaw a fine paper that trained a generation of fine journalists.

Sorry to hear about Forest's passing. I worked with him while I was at the United Way in Danbury. A fine man, an example to us all.

Forrest hired me to be managing editor. We did good journalism together.

I remember Mr Palmer from the Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury. Always a kind word and a big smile. A lovely Gentleman.

Forrest Palmer is to be remembered as CHIEFTAIN of Danbury News Times. He represented the highest achievement of all journalists and now eulogized as best of best and beyond. I'm indebted to Forrest Palmer for his dynamic personality and fortitude starting as paperboy to subject of news features in News-Times.
