I'm so sorry for your loss. I think he was related to me. My grandparents were Gus & Eva VanPatten and my mother is Augusta (Vanpatten) Smith. My moms uncle was Forrest VanPatten and he lived in Lansing, I would think he would had been the Forrest the first. Please let me know if you think you are related.
