To the family of Spc. Forrest J. Waterbury:
Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God bless and keep you always.

I was one of the two people that last say SPC Waterbury alive. I was there with him when his life was taken by that sniper. I tried to do what I could to save your life but I still feel guilty to this day because maybe i could have done more. I think about you every day and have your name tattoo'd on my arm so I can never forget you. It was an honor to serve with you and I hope you are looking down on us today.
